For any of you that read the letter to the editor from my hometown newspaper in a previous post, this will not come as a shock...I recently read economist Steven Levitt's "Freakonomics," a fascinating real-world, data-first look at random case studies. One of his cases is on names. The questions he poses, among others, range from: How much do they influence a person? How much do they tell about you? Can you hinder/help a child b/c of a name? The data comes from a 30-year study of California birth certificates. The two followling lists were causes for both curiosity and concern, especially b/c the No. 1 name in each case was the same... Most Common Low-End White Boy Names 5\. Robert 4\. Justin 3\. Anthony 2\. Brandon Most Common White Boy Names Among Low-Education Parents 5\. Tyler 4\. Justin 3\. Brandon 2\. Travis And the No. 1 in each category, the undisputed champion white trash name: 1\. Cody (drops head) ---
